What’s in that Bottle?

I get asked a lot of questions as a feeding therapist.  A lot of times I am able to help.  And sometimes I am not.  But when I don’t know the answer – I tell them I do not know the answer.  I have no shame in telling someone that I have a lot left to learn.

One question I am consistently being asked and consistently unable to answer is this:  What formula should I be giving my baby?

I fall pretty short on this one.  I don’t even know where to start.  I am not a nutritionist or a pediatrician, and both my boys were breast fed.  So where do we go for these answers?  I have asked nutritionists and pediatricians – and have received about 10 different answers.  Because there is not a right answer.  Every child needs the right formula for their sweet little tummies.

If you are looking for the right formula for your babe, I recommend the site “The Best Baby Formula, What comes close to the real thing?”  by reviews.com.  You will not just find what was voted to be the best, but you will find other formulas that may be a better fit for allergies, sensitivities, or budgets.

Find the best fit for you and your baby!  Good luck!

Hank was also unsure about what to feed Gus, so he opted for the ever faithful goldfish crackers.  Nice try, Hank.
